10th March we had a storm so everyone battened down the hatches and we really felt like we were in a lighthouse for the night.
Day 6 Back to work
The storm passed and work resumed bright and early. The crew were busy and worked hard to make up for lost time, removing the old side fencing and to make sure the new fence posts and retainers were going to be ready for the next day.
The base for a gravelled area for the kitchen garden in front of the summer house was prepared and the placement of channels for the electrical conduit was finalized.
We are going to have 3 double sockets on the back decking posts and three pendant lights in the decking roof. We also need a fountain pump and coloured spotlights and an ethernet.
Lots to consider and make sure it's all prepared in the right order.
Have a look at today's video clip.
Day 7 Finishing off the week
Another soggy day so the side fencing panels and concrete retainers were put in place but, as the weather became more erratic and hail stones were pelting down every 20 mins, a general tidy up and a trip to the chippy was required for Friday's tea.
We ordered the light fittings and bulbs for the pendant lights. Bulbs arrive tomorrow, light fittings at the end of the month!
Starting to feel the whole plan is coming together and glad to have our privacy at the back of the garden again - although the local cats are setting up a protest group as they are most put out that their usual run is completely disrupted. However being cats, we doubt they will ever get organized. š
