Lighthouse Tai Chi in the Park Events
Every year, Lighthouse organize a series of outdoor tai chi sessions in parks in Pendle & Rossendale, that are free to attend and open to anyone to come along and try tai chi outdoors. Please scroll down for details of upcoming events and videos of past events.

We aim to encourage people to keep active and enjoy healthy activities that are also friendly, fun and relaxing. It is also an opportunity for people to find out about tai chi without having to book a lesson and see if it is suitable them.

2024 will be the 10th year since Lighthouse started Tai Chi in the Park at Victoria Park in Nelson. We hope to plan very special launch event in August. Join our Facebook group to stay updated about our plans or bookmark this page. Lighthouse Facebook Group

2024 Dates are:
10th Annual Summer Tai Chi in Pendle
Victoria Park, Nelson, Lancashire

Thursdays 1st, 8th & 15th August at 1.30pm 
& Saturday 10th August at 10.30am

The Mayor & Mayoress of Pendle are attending to officially open the event on Thursday 1st August and there will be a performance by Pendle Ladies Choir.
  • The tai chi will begin at 2pm
  • Find us in the park near the café, turn left at the witch!
Carr Road, Barrowford, Nelson BB9 7TB
Free parking in car park or on street.

All ages and abilities are welcome to do as much or as little as they wish. Free to everyone. Donations requested - cash or card accepted.
Dogs are welcome but must be on lead and under control at all times.

Refreshments & Facilities: Victoria Park Pavilion Community Hub & Café have said they will be open to support the events. The café is run by volunteers, so please make sure you bring some water with you just in case, and toilets are available at Morrisons in Nelson.

In this edition: Tai Chi in Victoria Park - Celebrating 10 Years NEW - Equinox Retreat Days A Weekend in Pisa Video Ordering T-shirts, Jackets etc Victoria Park Tai Chi Events We are delighted to announce our 10th and final year of free tai chi in Victoria Park, Nelson. The Launch event is on  Thursday 1st August at 1.30pm . The Mayor & Mayoress of Pendle will officially open the event, followed by a performance by the fabulous Pendle Ladies Choir. Singing and Tai Chi are both great activities to boost the mind and body and make us feel good. We are sponsored by Pendle Borough Council, The Marsden Building Society and Pendle Leisure Trust. There will be some Marsden goodie bags for the first 30 people who attend the launch. The Tai Chi only sessions will held on Thursdays 8th & 15th at 1.30pm and Saturday 10th August at 10.30am.
